Since 1920, the Ballarat Memorial Concert Band has brought people together through music—performing at community events and competitions with a dynamic repertoire spanning stage and screen, classical favourites, big band, and contemporary works.
Join us at an upcoming performance, or let us bring live music to your next event.

Proudly part of Ballarat for over 100 years, we continue the legacy of the Ballarat Soldiers’ Memorial Band by creating music, connection and community for audiences of all generations. Whether on stage or in the heart of local events, we’re passionate about sharing the joy of live performance with everyone.

We’re more than just a band—we’re a community brought together by a shared love of music. No matter where you are on your musical journey, there’s a place for you here.
From those taking their first steps with the Ballarat Memorial Development Program, to growing musicians in the Barkly Street Concert Band, and experienced players in the Ballarat Memorial Concert Band, everyone is welcomed and supported.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, inclusive group where friendships are built alongside music. Whether you’re returning to your instrument or picking it up for the first time, you’ll find encouragement, connection, and a sense of belonging.
