The Ballarat Memorial Concert Band is our premier ensemble, bringing together experienced musicians to perform a diverse and challenging repertoire. As the band’s flagship group, it offers players the opportunity to refine their skills, collaborate at a high level, and be part of a dynamic and rewarding musical experience.

The band regularly performs at major community events, including the Ballarat Begonia Festival, the Ballarat Heritage Festival, and the Ballarat Carols by Candlelight, and proudly competes in Open B Grade at state and national championships.

Membership is open to players with a strong level of proficiency (approximately AMEB Grade 5 or equivalent) who are able to commit to regular rehearsals. For those seeking both musical challenge and a strong sense of connection, the Memorial Band is a vibrant and inspiring ensemble to be part of.

We rehearse Wednesday nights from 7:00-9:00pm at Wilkinson Hall.
